· Paying close attention to the content and construction of the carpet fibre is of vital importance.
· Checking the installation aspects of the carpet, particularly whether the carpet is secure at the edges to withstand any change to the fabric dimensions during the cleaning process.
· The grippers need to be secured and stand on the necessary distance from the skirting board. Any large gaps may cause the carpet to pull away when tension is applied.
· Sometimes if the carpet hasn’t been acclimatised and is fitted it stretches in the warmth and leaves the surplus carpet in ridges.
